The Community Clean Energy Coalition Prize will support new and existing coalitions addressing a local clean energy opportunity or environmental inequity in disadvantaged communities. Ten coalitions will receive a $30,000 cash prize and the opportunity to compete for an additional $165,000 each. This prize has an easy application process, due December 7, in which you will define your coalition and the opportunity or inequity it intends to address.
We invite you to learn more at two upcoming events!
- On October 19, you can hear directly from the prize administrators during the DOE’s Informational Webinar to explain the prize goals and answer any questions.
- On October 27, join CEBN for a Workshop & Teaming Event featuring:
o a panel of community leaders exploring strategies for building coalitions around climate and justice goals,
o an explanation of prize goals, eligibility, and the application process,
o and an interactive networking/teaming session where you can meet potential coalition partners.
- Finally, CEBN is organizing a Road Show in October and November offering a brief presentation (5-15min) on the prize in small group meetings. Please contact us at cebn@cebn.org if you are interested in hosting a presentation during an upcoming meeting of your members/network.
Additional information on the prize can be found at CEBN’s blog post, which we will be updating as new resources become available. We are also available for a 1:1 meeting if you have questions or would like to discuss how this could be applicable to your community.
Additionally, please feel free to share this with others in your network that may be interested in the prize, as we would love to get the word out about this exciting opportunity.
