The goal is to develop a comprehensive, inclusive, effective food network for southern Illinois, taking into account the concerns and challenges of everyone along the food chain.
Representatives from a number of local organizations are working together here, including: Beloved Puppetistas, Women for Change, Carbondale Park District, City of Carbondale, Sierra Club Shawnee Group, Carbondale Spring, the Poor People’s Campaign of Southern Illinois, Faith in Place, Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship, Touch of Nature, and The Climate Economy Education Inc. We started out working on events for Earth Day 2020.
