WHAT DOES A NEWS CURATOR DO? WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS REQUIRED? HOW MUCH OF MY TIME IS REQUIRED? IS THE VOLUNTEERING DONE OFFLINE OR ONLINE? HOW IS MY VOLUNTEER TIME TRACKED AND/OR REWARDED? Sorry, no records were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again. Sorry, unable to load Google Maps API.
As a volunteer news curator, you’ll be expected to scan the news headlines of your chosen topic area every day, and post the headlines on a Twitter feed set up just for your topic.
You’ll be trained on how to do that. A short online course is in development.
It will take anywhere from zero minutes per day (if there are no new headlines on a given day, unlikely) to an hour or more per day, depending on your topic.
All online for News Curator.
Once you are approved for topic curation, you’ll be officially announced as the topic curator and be rewarded 500 points. You get an additional 100 points for every month of volunteering completed. Over time, as your topic gains support (aka followers) through your efforts, you’ll be rewarded with an award on your Appii profile (Appii profile setup is required and cost is sponsored by The Climate Economy Education Inc).No Records Found
